Robert Fields Hellums

Mr. Robert Fields Hellums passed on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the age of 81. He was born on February 28, 1925 to the late James Roger Hellums and Rosa Grubbs Hellums. Mr. Hellums served in the U.S. Army Air Corps and married the former Joy Green on February 2, 1952. Mr. Hellums was a self-employed painter and carpenter; worked with the meals on wheels and was a member of the Central Christian Church of Winnsboro, where he served as a deacon. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Adrain Hellums, Drue Hellums and one sister, Alloe Dill. Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Mrs. Joy Hellums of Yantis; three sons, James Roger Hellums of Plano, Larry Robert Hellums of Midland, Kim David Hellums of Frisco and four grandchildren.
