Robert Duane Oakes

Robert Duane Oakes, age 72, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 in Yantis, Texas. He was born on Saturday, March 22, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Emzy and Ruth Oakes. He was an Electrical Engineer and a member of St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Mineola, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lynn Oakes; three sons, Randy Oakes, Kyle Jensen and Jeff Jensen; three daughters, Robin Seely, Russi Oakes and Debbie Jensen; a brother, Ron Oakes; two sisters, Janet Norris and Cheryl Paul; and twelve grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Oakes will be held at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Mineola on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Father Pantel and Randy Oakes officiating.
