Robert Reiser died Saturday, November 4, 2006 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on June 26, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois to Benjamin and Nell Reiser. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp from 1941 to 1945. After his military service he began a life-long career in the carpet industry, eventually starting the first commercial carpet company in Dallas. The company still carries his name today. He had a passion for flying and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was committed to little league baseball and served as a coach for 16 years. His retirement in 1988 took him to East Texas on Holly Lake Ranch where he served as a volunteer on the Emergency Medical Service team and was a member of Holly Tree Chapel. He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Reiser and his sister Lorraine Henning. He is survived by son Kenneth and his wife Caroline, Kenneth's mother, Jackie Reiser and three beloved grandchildren, Jenson, Haley and Cole Reiser. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bishop Dunne Catholic High School, 3900 Rugged Drive, Dallas, TX 75224. The family has established the Robert Reiser Tuition Assistance Fund.
