Robert L. Warner

Mr. Robert “Bob” L. Warner, age 85 of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 4th, 2016 at Mother Francis Hospital in Winnsboro. He was born on June 24th, 1930 in Captina, West Virginia to the late Robert Easley Warner and Mildred Abbott Warner. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War. He continued serving his country after the Air Force and retired after many years from civil service at Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, AZ. He was a devoted Christian, beloved husband, father, grandfather and member of the Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro where he served as a deacon and other positions. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joyce Elaine Saunders. He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn S. Warner of Winnsboro; son Larry Warner, wife Theresa Armendarez and grandson Grayson Warner of Manteo, NC.; step-sons William “Will” Chipley and wife Lenea of Ft. Worth, TX., and Jonathan “Cody” Wade of Phoenix, AZ.; step-daughter Angela “Angie” Perkins and husband Mike of Columbia, MO.; and nine grandchildren, Lauren and Lindsay Perkins, Brianna, Mylie, Lola, and Daisy Wade, Chris and Ethan Gendreau, and Madison Brock; brothers Donald Gene Warner and wife Della of Red House, WV., Jerry Lee Warner and wife Josie of Red House, WV., and Edward Allen Warner and wife Sue of Raleigh, NC. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Pine Street Baptist Church 611 W. Pine St. Winnsboro, TX 75494. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2016 at Pine Street Baptist Church 611 W. Pine St. Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm, Bro. Charles Ethridge conducting, interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Scroggins, with Grayson Warner, Toey Courtney, Keith Anderson, Bobby Brunson, Richard Starek, Neuman Browning, Jay Murdock serving as pallbearers.
