Roberto Aguilera-Saenz, 86 of Mineola, TX passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Tyler, TX. He was born on Saturday, April 12, 1930 in Mexico to the late Fidel Aguilera and Maria de Jesus Saenz.
He was a member of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Dallas, TX, he loved doing God's work. Roberto started his early career working in a mine as a very active leader of the union of miners in the early 60's, he was also the clinic administrator for the towns clinic and hospital. Later in life he worked for Trinity Industries in Dallas, TX and as a self employed vendor, selling snow cones, fresh fruit and corn on the cob.
He preceded in death by one son, Jesus Aguilera.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Esperanza Aguilera of Mineola, TX; four son's, Jorge Roberto Aguilera of Dallas, Fidel "Chito" Aguilera of Dallas, Juan Antonio Aguilera of Dallas, Roberto Aguilera, Jr. of Dallas; five daughters, Elizabeth Dobson of Ovilla, Nora Perez Aguilera of Dallas, Norma Cielo Ibarra of Garland, Blanca Pina Aguilera of Midlothian, Maria Guadalupe Esquiuel Aguilera of Mineola; brother, Fidel Aguilera of Cloete Coachvila, Mexico; thirty grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX from 6-7 pm and evening memorial service will be from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Adrian Hernandez. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
