It is with love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of a remarkable man whose kindness, service, and friendship touched countless lives.

A graduate of Hawkins High School in 1959, he continued his education at Tyler Junior College, earning an Associate Degree in 1961, and later received his Bachelor's Degree from North Texas State University in 1962.

Following college, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1967. During his military career, he completed two tours in Vietnam as a Navigator. He continued his service in the United States Air Force Reserves, ultimately retiring in 1991 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

After his active military service, he dedicated 25 years of employment to the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), retiring in 1997.

On February 14, 1990, he married the love of his life, Linnie. Together they shared 36 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Linnie; his children, Warren Green of Dallas, Texas, Michael Isham and wife Gina of The Colony, Texas, and Kelli Brown and husband Bobby of Teague, Texas; grandchildren, Macy, Jenna, Ima, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Kailey, Carter, Foster, Silas, and Ronin. He is also survived by his sister, Sherry Tucker Rose and husband Barry, along with numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tillman Green and Hazel Green; his brother, Bill Green; and his son, Allen Isham. His maternal grandparents, James and Queenie Tucker, and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Effie Scoggins Green, also preceded him in death.

He will be remembered as a true people person who never met a stranger. Known for his gift of conversation and warm personality, he could turn any encounter into a friendship. He loved cars, enjoyed singing karaoke, and treasured opportunities to travel. Whether meeting friends at a coffee shop, sharing a meal at a favorite restaurant, or simply visiting with family and friends, he found joy in being around people.

A visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 1pm with a service following at 2pm. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens directly after the service.

His legacy of service, friendship, laughter, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
