Ronald Joseph Craddock, age 81, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 17, 1944, to the late Romie Craddock and Dorothy Kindle, Ronald lived a life marked by service, faith, and devotion to his family and community.
A true servant at heart, Ronald proudly joined the United States Navy, where he served his country with honor. It was during his time in the Navy that he married the love of his life, Vicki Walters. Together, they built a legacy grounded in faith, family, and an unwavering love for the Lord.
After his military service, Ronald continued to serve others through his work in civil service as a skilled carpenter. Known as someone who could build or fix just about anything, he had a passion for craftsmanship and a particular love for restoring old cars.
Ronald was a people person through and through. He found joy in his relationships at First Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon for many years, and in the everyday conversations with friends and neighbors around town. His faith was not only spoken—it was lived, and he led by quiet example, guiding others through both his words and actions.
He enjoyed the sounds of classic country and gospel music, which often filled the spaces of his home and heart. But above all, Ronald loved the Lord. His life was a reflection of his deep spiritual devotion and his desire to walk in God’s will each and every day.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki Craddock; daughters, Ronda and Michelle; son, David; brother, Roger; sisters, Denise and Robin; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romie and Dorothy; his son, William; and his brother, Calvin.
Ronald’s legacy of love, humility, and faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor and celebrate Ronald’s life.
