Ron Howarth of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, formerly of Grimes, Iowa, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivyl and Alice Howarth. He is survived by his wife, of twenty-three years, Pat; Sharon (Gus) Kasten, sister; Melba Wright, sister; Jerry (Peg) Howarth, brother; sister-in-law, Pam Harbaugh; step-children: Keely O’Hara, Ryan O’Hara, Shelby Endicott, and nine grandchildren.
Ron was an active motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding his Harley Trike especially since moving to Texas where the weather is nice year around. He served in Germany with the U.S. Army. Ron was employed for over 30 years with Hy-Vee Inc. as a Meat Specialist. He was active in ABATE of Iowa, and Holly Lake Ranch Volunteer Fire Department Association and Veterans Group.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Holly Tree Chapel, 1620 South FM 2869, Monday, April 18, at 11:00 a.m.
