Ronald Ray Poteet

Mr. Ronald Poteet, age 72 of Scroggins, passed away, surrounded by family, on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1950 in Dallas to the late Raymond Poteet and Helen Askew Poteet.

Ronald was a retired Construction Worker and a member of Clearwater Baptist. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Poteet.

Survivors include his loving wife, Donna Poteet of Scroggins; son, Charlie White and wife, Lacey Coffman of Palestine; daughters, Lori Gangross and husband, Joel of Chandler and Leigh Blackmon and husband, Patrick of Karnack, Texas; brothers, Don Poteet of Seagoville and Fred Poteet of Kemp; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Clearwater Baptist Church in Scroggins. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 am, Rev. Tim Sutton conducting. Interment will be at Strong Memorial Park in Slocum, with Charlie White, Mike Morgan, Joel Gangross, Patrick Blackmon, James Oden, Ethan Blackmon serving as pallbearers.
