Rose Marie Brown

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Brown, who transitioned peacefully to her eternal rest on September 2, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on May 10, 1932, in Graysville, Indiana, Rose was the beloved daughter of Herbert Robinson and Thelma Louise Huff.

Rose was united in marriage to Gene "Chick" E. Springer, with whom she shared 47 years of love and partnership until his death. She later married Joe Brown, who also preceded her in death after two years together. Throughout her life, Rose was dedicated to her family, raising five children: Gene "Chickie" Springer II, Dean Springer, and William "Bill" Springer, all of whom have sadly passed before her. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Roman) Springer-Eble, of Winnsboro, Texas, and Gretchen (Hal) Pitts of Sullivan. along with her daughter-in-law, Rita Springer of Sullivan, Indiana, and Gretchen (Hal) Pitts, also of Sullivan.

Rose's legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren, including Shawna Kay (Kevin), Sheila Richardson, Dean Erick (Stacy), Mariah (Derrick Jordan) Swan, Will (Jessica) Springer, Stephanie (Jason) Bone, Stephen (Marlena) Cox, and Gene Springer as well as her beloved great-grandchildren: Tyler, Taryn, Ashley, Braxton, Monet, Audrey, Alex, Sophie, Toby, Sky, Jackson, Zack, and Taya. She will also be remembered by her 11 great-great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

A graveside service will be held at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan, Indiana, where friends and family will gather to celebrate Rose's life and legacy. The service will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 2 PM, officiated by Pastor Erich Blevins.

In this time of sorrow, we honor the memory of Rose Marie Brown, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and love touched the lives of many. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
