Roy Hunt

Mr. Roy Hunt, a lifetime Winnsboro resident, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the age of 75. He was born in Winnsboro on July 1, 1934 to the late Robert Guy and Augusta Lawrence Hunt. He was the retired owner of Roadway Oil Co. of Winnsboro, and a veteran of the Texas National Guard. He was married to the former Mary Darby on January 28, 1955, and was a member of First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, where he was a member of the Louis Ray Sunday School Class. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hunt of Winnsboro; two daughters, Lori Gorman and husband Will of Winnsboro, Amy Powell and husband Micheal of Quitman; two brothers, Ray Hunt and wife Joann of Tyler, Buford Messer and wife Dorothy of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, Shanna Littlefield and husband Chad, Weston Gorman and wife Lisa, Salina Tullos and husband Anthony, Lacy Horn and husband Chris, Annie Hawkins and husband Ryan; and six great grandchildren.
