Ruby Lee Blanchett

Ruby Lee Blanchett received her reward in Heaven on May 28, 2022 , at the age of 95. She was born on December 21, 1926 in Mt. Vernon, Texas to Isaac and Virginia Brooks. Ruby grew up in Mt. Vernon and has been a resident of Irving since 1967. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Ruby married Bill Blanchett on December 19, 1947 and the two enjoyed 73 years of marriage.

Mrs. Blanchett was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Blanchett; daughter, Brenda Blanchett; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by son Charles Blanchett and Doloris; daughter Barbara Blanchett; two grandchildren, Shanna Askew and Trey, Christopher Blanchett and Sabrina; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby Brooks and Reece Brooks.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 4th at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The funeral will begin at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
