It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan Foremny on June 27, 2026.
Ryan lived a life of dedicated service to others. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a deployment in Iraq. Following his military service, he transitioned to a career in healthcare, where he found his calling in bringing comfort to those in their time of greatest need. Ryan's superpowers included a compassionate heart and a unique gift for connecting with those around him, offering trust, reassurance, and solace to all he encountered.
Ryan was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Shanna, whom he met while stationed in Alaska. Together, they built a life centered on their shared passion for animals. Their home was a lively environment filled with their beloved crazy pit bulls, cats with unique personalities, and an array of exotic creatures. Their time working at a zoo in Arizona remained a cherished chapter of their life together, where they found joy in the care of giraffes, hippopotamuses, and chubby unicorns (rhinoceroses). Their bond was deep, adventurous, and rooted in a mutual love for the natural world, even spending many date nights scorpion hunting.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shanna Foremny; his grandmother, Katherine "Mimi" Calson; his father, Bruce Foremny; his mother, Lynn Scrivner; his sister, Katie Foremny; and many extended family members, fellow veterans, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. Ryan became a treasured member of Shanna's family, forging bonds characterized by laughter, unwavering support, and genuine love. We are profoundly grateful for the time we shared, and his presence will remain a cherished part of our lives.
While our hearts are heavy with his loss, we are deeply thankful for the years we shared with him. Ryan's legacy of compassion, loyalty, and service will live on in the lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
