Sallie Aline Carter

Mrs. Sallie Aline Carter passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the age of 100. She was born on September 7, 1910 to the late Walter Rhett Darby and Florence Rochelle Crawford Darby. Mrs. Carter was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She married Mr. Harmon Carter in 1928 and he preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Carter is also preceded by four brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her son, Harold Lee Carter of Winnsboro; daughter, Joan Darby Lubbe of Richardson; sister, Bobby Taylor of Winnsboro; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and one great great great grandchild.
