Sallye Ann Wells

Sallye Ann Mitchell Wells, age 75, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Saturday, September 26, 1936 in Jacksonville, Texas to the late Harley and Birdie Mitchell. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas where she was the pianist for 25 years and a Secretary for the Hawkins High School for 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Joe Mitchell, Harley Troy Mitchell, and Rex Mitchell; and three sisters, Gladys Mitchell Sawyer, Mary Mitchell White and Jimmie Lee Mitchell Woolery.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Leon Wells of Hawkins; three sons, Michael Wells and wife Chanyce of Longview, Texas, Larry Wells and wife Deana of Birmingham, Alabama, Mathis Wells and wife Karla of Hawkins; a daughter, Laurie Wells of Lindale, Texas; a sister, Billie Messimer of Palmer, Nebraska; a niece, Becky Attaway and husband Mike of Hawkins; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Wells will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Hawkins on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Hawkins on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Bro David Franklin and Dr. Bill Holmes officiating.
