Sandra Collins

Sandy Collins, age 86, passed away on Thursday, November 30th, 2023, in Tyler. She was born Sandra Lou Patrick on June 18th, 1937, in Malakoff to the late Troy Patrick and Edna Owens Patrick. Sandy worked for many years as the Postmaster in Golden. More than anything, Sandy loved her family. She spent many hours with them playing games, quilting, gardening, and traveling. She also loved Jesus and praised him with her beautiful voice and piano playing. For many years she performed with her siblings and other friends in the Goldenaires, touring all around East Texas. She served Him through the Golden Methodist Church, Pilgrim Rest #2 Baptist Church. and GRACE Emmaus.

Sandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Robinson and husband Nick Collins. Survivors include her son, Tom Robinson and partner Anja Warnstedt of Austin; daughter, Robin Gillian and husband Greg of Flint; brother, Mike Patrick and wife, Shirley of Golden; granddaughters Kristi Smeeton and husband Tim, Erin Cummings, Kelli Robinson and husband Brian Jones, Christina Hippe and husband Jon; grandsons Jason Wright, Wes Bailey, & Kenny Gillian; eighteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her special favorite nieces Hali Cleveland & Joy Parker.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Beaty Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Pickens conducting. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, with Jason Wright, Wes Bailey, Kenny Gillian, Tim Smeeton, Brian Jones, and Jon Hippe serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Golden Methodist Church or Alzheimer's Alliance of Smith County
