Sandra Jean English, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 79.
Sandra was born on June 9, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Dolores Spanko. In 1965, she married the love of her life, James English. Five years later, in 1970, Sandra and James made their home in Mineola, Texas, where they built a beautiful life together filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Sandra was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She found joy in the simple things that made each day special. She loved listening to the oldies of the 1950s and 1960s, hummingbirds, cooking, and enjoying a little shopping as she collected some of her favorite things. Her warm spirit and the love she shared with those around her will be deeply missed.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Dolores Spanko.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 61 years, James English; her son, Todd English; her daughter, Debbie English; her brothers, David Spanko and wife Barbara, Mike Spanko and wife Rachael, and Jimmy Spanko; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Though Sandra's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she gave and the memories she created will remain with her family always. Her life was a beautiful testament to the love found in family, faith, and the everyday moments that become our most treasured memories.
