Sherman Meredith Whatley, age 64, of Mineola, Texas, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Dallas, Texas. He was a member of Lake Fork Baptist Church. He was also a member of Christian Motorcyle Association and a past President. He was employed by Channel 7 in Tyler as a video engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Whatley of Mineola, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Leichsenring and husband Jim of Garland, Texas; one son,
Stacy Turner of Dallas, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law,Carolyn Hill and husband Gene of Black Jack, Texas; and four grandchildren, Stephanie Leichsenring, Jeffery Leichsenring, Heather Leichsenring, and Jennifer Leichsenring.
