Sherry Vaughan

Mrs. Sherry Davis Vaughan, age 74 of Mineola, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022 in Lindale. She was born on April 28, 1948 in Kermit, Texas to the late Garland Davis and Essie Hand Davis.

Mrs. Vaughan was a loving wife, mother and true homemaker. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Hawkins, past president of the Hawkins Methodist Woman and Secretary Treasurer of The Hawkins Study Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Pat Lagrone.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 47 years, Virgil Buddy Vaughan, Jr. of Mineola; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Kim Vaughan of Mineola; sister, Kim Linnstaedter and husband, Randy of Rockwall; two grandsons, Max and Jake Vaughan.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Hawkins 229 E. Blackbourn St. Hawkins, Texas. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Rev. David Hicks and Rev. Mike Fraley conducting. Interment will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Merkel, Texas.
