Shirley Cofer of Sulphur Springs, passed away February 27, 2026 at the age of 75. She was born in Dallas, Texas on November 19, 1950 to David and Clara Mae Tapley.

Shirley was a Christian and a member of Davis Street Baptist Church. She graduated high school in Winnsboro, Texas. 

Shirley favorite past time was jigsaw puzzles and taking care of her dog Susie.

Shirley is survived by her brother Charles Tapley of Winnsboro, Texas, nieces; Sonja Tapley; Leigh Anne Goldsmith (husband) Jeff Goldsmith. nephew; Tim Tapley (wife) Monica Tapley, eight grand nieces and nephews; and one great-grand niece.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband; Joe Cofer, mother; Clara Mae and father; David Tapley.
