Shirley Joan Mellenberger

Mrs. Joan Rhoades Mellenberger, age 73 of Winnsboro, passed away on Sunday, July 24th, 2016 at her home in Winnsboro. She was born on December 7th, 1942 in Winnsboro to the late Lee Rhoades and Alma Martin Rhoades. She was a homemaker, and member of Walnut Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Mellenberger; brother, Dusty Rhoades; and sister, Avis Bellomy. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Mel Mellenberger of Winnsboro; daughter, Kristine Mellenberger of Austin; brother, J.C. Rhoades of Longview; sister, Norma Wilkinson and husband Gordon of Winnsboro; granddaughter, Jennifer Tully of Austin. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
