Shirley Lee Todd (Turner)

Shirley Lee Todd, age 80, of Mineola, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, following a brief illness.

Born on November 27, 1944, in Hawkins, Texas, Shirley was the beloved daughter of Sherwood and Lucille (Jerden) Turner.

A 1963 graduate of Hawkins High School, she spent her life rooted in faith, family, and community. A devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Mineola, Shirley's steadfast love for her Lord and Savior guided her throughout her life.

Together with her late husband, Doyle R. Todd, Shirley owned and operated Bluebonnet Laundry in Mineola for 47 years. Known for her tireless work ethic, gentle spirit, and warm smile, Shirley touched the lives of many through both her business and her personal relationships.

Above all, Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering strength.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Sherwood and Lucille Turner; her husband, Doyle R. Todd; their infant daughter, Deana Ray Todd; and her brother, Norman Turner.

She is survived by her loving daughters: Andra Cooper, Gayna Alexander and husband Kenny, Amanda Smith and husband Cory; son: Troy Todd and wife Beth; her brother Jerry Turner and wife Zelma; grandchildren Kevin Rosner, Justin Rosner, Mandy Chan, Craig Cooper, Wesley Alexander, Frankie Alexander, Kattie Steele, Chad Young, Heather Walls, and Jadie Smith; great-grandchildren Cameron Chan, Brie Steele, Oliver Cooper, Matthew Collins, Iva Collins, Kody Collins, Remington Walls, Parker Young, and Laiken Young; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the many lives she touched.
