Sidney Layne Ballard, age 37, died Sunday, September 2, 2012 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Thursday, September 5, 1974 to Charles and Linda Ballard. He was a writer with a Bachelors Degree from Western Kentucky University. He loved to travel.
He is survived by his parents; a special friend, Amanda Russell of Quitman, Texas; a grandmother, Sue Benton of Ft. Worth, Texas; a sister, Lisa Rider of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; nephews, Gavin, Eli, Cooper and Hudson Rider; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation for Mr. Ballard will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 5:00 PM till 6:00 PM with a memorial service following at 6:00 PM.
