SGT, Stanley Lynn Gore, 74, passed away on June 28, 2023, at his home after a short illness. Stan was born July 16, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to Oliver Leonard and Lou Ednar (Rogers) Gore. Stan served in the United States Army from 1968-1970, in the Battery C 3rd D Squadron 82nd D Artillery. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Bars, U.S Armed Forces EXP M-16 Medal, and the Sharp Shooter Marksmanship M-14 Award. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran.
He is survived by wife, Suzanne Gore of Azle, Texas; daughters, Trisha Mae Fitzgerald (Thomas) of Tyler, Texas, Kristen Lynn Harris of Grapevine, Texas; son-in-law Channing (Skip) Bush of Quitman, Texas, daughter-in-law Diann Gore of Plano, Texas Mother-in-law Frances Presson, Mineola, Texas; brother-in-law Thomas England (daughter Jessica), Mineola, Texas; step-children, Amanda Whitespeare (Jeff); Adam Gathright, Andrew Gathright (Crystal); and step-grandchildren Kylie, Lillian, Kinsley & Cadence; grandchildren, Anthony Darrin Gore, Marianna, Florida, Ashlee Lynn Gore (Jacob) Grapevine, Texas, Holly Cervantes (Rodrigo), Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jessica Erin Gore (Chris), Irving, Texas, Brandon New (Kali) Tyler, Texas, Audrey Mae Ross (Cody), Quitman, Texas, as well as, great-grandchildren, Jason and Jade Moreno, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
Stanley was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife Glenda, brothers (Gary Dan and Bobby Gore), sisters (Nancy and Janet Gore) and his son (Darrin Gore).
He lived the past forty-three years in East Texas after travelling extensively in his life-long career in the oilfield. First with Noble Drilling, then after retirement, he formed Gore Consulting, LLC with his two brothers, Gary Dan and Bobby. He will be remembered for his passion for cars, guns and family
