Stanley H. Johnson

Mr. Stanley H. Johnson, age 93 of Winnsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Tyler. He was born in Winnsboro on September 21, 1915 to the late Oscar H. and Dessa Cornelia Stanley Johnson. He worked as a farmer, was a charter member and deacon at Pine Street Baptist Church, and a member of the Second Timers Sunday School class. He was married to Lila Louise Glasco on October 13, 1950, and she preceded him in death on June 18, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Janis Johnson, a sister, Tommie Gay Greer, a grandson, Christopher Templeman. He is survived by two sons, Mark Johnson and wife Brenda of Winnsboro, Russell Johnson of Winnsboro; one daughter, Iris Templeman of McKinney; one brother, John L. Johnson and wife Dorothy of Pembroke Pines, Fl.; two sisters, Bobbie J. Chitsey and husband Raymond of Rowlett, Betty Sue Clanton and husband Marvin of Richardson; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild .
