Stephen Nymick. Jr. of Mineola, Texas passed away on October 20, 2006 at the age of 73 after a prolonged illness in the home of his stepdaughter Kay Arrington of Beaumont. His wife of 39 years Betty Joe Nymick, passed away on November 1, 2006. They are survived by Betty's daughter Kay Arrington, son-in-law Lonnie Arrington and 3 step-granddaughters Kim Arrington of Galveston, Tammy Anderud of Beaumont, and Angie Morrill of Beaumont; He is also survived by brother Mickey and wife Helen, three nephews: Brian, Michael and wife Lynn and their children Tory and Christy, Robert and wife Lisa and their children Stephen and Matthew, Aunt Sophie Kokolis, Uncle Pete and Aunt Vernie Nymick and Aunt Madeline Nymick. He is preceded in death by parents, Stephen and Anna Bindas Nymick and a brother Ronald.
Steve was a Veteran of the Navy serving from June 1951 until his date of discharge in June 1960. As a member of Seabee Unit MCB-1, Steve journeyed to Antarctica during 1958, as a member of expedition forces, U.S. Navy. He was a Member of the V.F.W. of Mineola. He was an active member of Lake Country Church in Mineola, Texas where he and his wife Betty had resided for the past 20 years.
