Sterling was a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Friend and Mentor. He had a “Larger than Life” personality, was quick witted, wise beyond his years, and intelligent beyond belief.
Sterling’s best friend was his wife Kelley. They traveled together, laughed together and loved each other fiercely.
Sterling was an amazing father and loved his children very much. Both Emily and Sadler have his quick wit, amazing work ethic and beautiful blue eyes.
Sterling was close to his parents Stanley and Christina and his sister Shanon, as family was very important to him. Part of what made Sterling such an amazing man was the core set of family values Stanley and Christina raised him by. Sterling was an avid outdoorsman and an excellent hunter. He enjoyed playing golf, watching hockey with Emily, working on vehicles with Sadler, fishing with friends, playing washers, building and shooting guns and participating in historical reenactments with his friends and family. Sterling worked for Jackson Construction in Quitman Texas for a combined total of over 20 years. He took his job very seriously and thoroughly enjoyed the commercial construction industry. Sterling leaves behind countless friends in the historical reenactment community and commercial construction industry.
