Steven Michael Henderson

Steven Michael Henderson, 58, of Mineola, TX passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born in Wood County, TX he was the son of the late James and Juanita Farmer Henderson. Steve and his wife the former Iris Smith built their home in Mineola, TX in 1984 after wedding. He worked for the Alba-Golden school district for 22 years as Transportation Manager before going on to operate a cement truck for his current employer Martin Marietta Aggregates in Mineola. He served as an active board member for Ramey Water for the last 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul Ray Henderson. His family was his whole world, spending his spare time fishing, camping and playing with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Mrs. Iris Henderson; son; Zachary Dylan Brock-Henderson of Mineola, TX and daughters; Lisa and husband Ben Barnette of Winona, TX, Daisy Crocker of Quitman, TX, Lillian Brock-Henderson of Mineola, TX; one sister, Marge and husband Ray Davis of Leesburg, TX and four brothers; Rosco, Joe and Roger Henderson, all of Quitman, TX and John Henderson of Glendive, MT; two granddaughters Azalea Crocker and Jazmine Toups and one grandson Josh Barnette and wife Hannah.
