Sybil Thompson

Graveside services for Sybil Louise Thompson, 88, Hawkins, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Hawkins Cemetery with Dr. Bill Holmes and the Rev. Seth Johnston officiating. Arrangements are with Beaty Funeral Home, Hawkins.

Mrs. Thompson died Sept. 8, 2008, in Hawkins.

She was born April 23, 1920, in Hawkins to the late Joseph Benjamin and Bertha Reese Holmes. She lived in Hawkins most of her life, was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Hawkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Thompson.

Survivors include daughters, Kathy Jo Huckaby, White Oak, and Lisa Kay Wyatt, Tyler; three nieces; and one great-niece.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
