Tammy Jo

“Mimi Jo” Tammy Jo, beloved mother and grandmother passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on April 8, 1958, in Mineola, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of the late Adrian and Dorothy Murphy Wheeler.

Tammy dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a healthcare provider with compassion and dedication. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her professional life, as she found joy in spending time with her tribe and friends. She was a pillar of strength and love, always putting the needs of others before her own.

In her leisure time, Tammy indulged her artistic side, finding solace and expression through cooking and painting. Her creations reflected her vibrant personality and her deep appreciation for beauty. She was also known as a discerning wine connoisseur, savoring life's simple pleasures and sharing them with those she loved.

Above all, Tammy treasured her role as a mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She took immense pride in their accomplishments and found joy in watching her tribe grow.

Tammy is survived by her sons Tommy Joe Jones of Yantis, and Jeffery Leon Jones and his wife, Megan, of Longview, her daughter Daniale Sharp of Yantis, her brother Freddy Wheeler of Germany, twelve grandchildren, Dakota, Chyenne, Lexon, Beau, Hopie, Lahanna, Leslie, Abby, Gavin, Brianna, Sim, and Von, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Aydan, Bryleigh, Sophie, Kohl, Waylon, Aldyn, Braxton, Charlie, Coraline.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Cooper, her brother, Tony Wheeler, her sister, Vicky Dearth, her grandchildren, Patience, Zoya, and Tyrone, and great-grandchild Rainee.

Tammy Jo will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire and guide those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
