Thomas Alton Green

Mr. Thomas Alton Green passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Denver, Colorado. He was born on June 13, 1920 in Upshur County, TX to the late Claude Green and Minnie Bivins Green. He graduated from Gilmer High School and East Texas State University. Mr. Green retired as a Captain in the U.S. Navy and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed boating, camping in his R.V., carpentry and his family and friends. He delighted in serving his Church as a teacher and deacon and served as a member of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Green is survived by his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Eva Lou and Herman Hagelstein of Graham; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Margie Green of Denver, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Frances Green of Blanchard, LA; four grandchildren, Laura Nighorn, Paul Hagelstein, Nathan Green, Kayte Green and five great grandchildren.
