Thomas Bartliff Havis

Thomas B. Havis, age 71, died Friday, June 15, 2012 in Winnsboro, Texas. He was born on Sunday, June 1, 1941 in Marlin, Texas to the late Normer and Jessie Fae Havis. He was a retired TV technician, owner of Havis Small Engine Repair Shop and a minister with the Assemblies of God, having been the pastor of several churches. He was the current pastor of Midway Full Gospel Church in Yantis, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Thomas Jason Havis; and a brother Otis Havis.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Yvonne Havis of Yantis; two daughters, Jennifer Rovell and husband Tim of Mt. Pleasant, Texas and Patricia Mae Ragsdale and husband Tony of Quitman, Texas; two brothers, Vernon Havis of Henderson, Texas and Dean Havis and wife Pearle of Temple, Texas; a sister, Virginia Krumnow and husband Rodney of Marlin, Texas; three grandsons, Waymon Ragsdale, T.J. Rovell and Ethan Rovell; several nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Havis will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating.

Interment will be at Myrtle Spring Cemetery in Quitman following the funeral service.
