Thomas Francis Pendergast

Mr. Thomas Francis Pendergast passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the age of 81. He was born on February 6, 1932 to the late Thomas Leo Pendergast and Edith Lorena Gibson Pendergast. Mr. Pendergast was the owner and publisher of The Winnsboro News, and was a member of the Winnsboro Future Foundation. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Karen Sue Wheeler Pendergast, on February 4, 2009, and brother, Dick Joseph Pendergast. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Meredith Ann and David Simpson of Winnsboro; brothers, Bob Pendergast of Richmond, VA and Jim Pendergast of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren, Mary Karen and William Drake Simpson and John McGlamery Chavez and Aiden Gunn Chavez.
