Tommie Jo Campbell

Mrs. Tommie Jo Campbell, age 89, of Mineola, Texas, passed away on Monday December 20, 2021, in Austin, Texas. Tommie Jo was born April 12, 1932, in Oklahoma to the late Veda Null Allen and Tommy A. Allen. After a happy childhood in Lindale, she met the love of her life, Preston Campbell and made Mineola her home. Tommie and Preston worked side by side in several businesses there, most of the years at Campbell’s Dairy Way. Through that outlet, she made many friends with her kindness and generous spirit. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a wonderful seamstress, cook, and pie-maker second to none. Her greatest joy was providing a good meal for her family and others.
Tommie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Preston Campbell, daughter, Debra Wooley and husband John, of Austin, Texas, her son, Danny Campbell of Garland, Texas; Grandchildren Austin Wooley, Katie Farkash and husband Frank; Great Grandchildren, Ford and Lilly Farkash, all of Austin Texas; sister, Sue Reaver of Fort Worth, brother Bill F. Allen and wife Linda of Mineola; along with many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Jo. She was preceded in death by her parents and dear brother Troy Allen of Lindale.
