Toy Sexton

Toy Sexton, 85, of Mineola, TX passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015 in Mineola, TX. He was born on Saturday, November 2, 1929 in Allen, TX to the late Toy Sr. and Lillian Cox Sexton.

He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1948. Toy was retired from the U.S. Navy after serving twenty two years in communications. He served during Korea and Vietnam and was stationed in Alaska, Italy, Australia and other places. He was a member of Mineola Masonic Lodge 502 and Eastern Star 695 of Quitman, TX. He was a member of Mosley and Norris Sunday school class of Mineola First Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Michelle Sexton; three brothers, Mack Sexton, James F. Sexton and Robert Sexton; sister, Dorothy Leigh and grandson, Joshua Miller.

He is survived by his wife of forty one years, Janette Sexton of Mineola, TX; son, Michael Sexton of Bellafonte, PA; brother, Lee Roy Sexton of Irving, TX. Called Papa Toy by Tom Forsythe, Linda Miller, Sandra Cruise and their spouses; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 10AM, Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Beaty Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Neeley officiating.
