Valta M. Winkle

Mrs. Valta M. Winkle, age 88 of Winnsboro. passed away, Saturday, November 1, 2008. She was born in Wood County on March 18, 1920 to the late Ocie and Clara Puckett Rogers. She married Claud A. Winkle on November 21, 1936. She was a grocery store owner, and member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Winkle on August 7, 1995; and two sisters, Alter Niell, and Murlene Dobecka. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Joe Don and Jerrie Winkle of Emory; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John A. Holley of Winnsboro; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
