Vance Julian Barker, was born on January 28, 2004, in Hopkins County Texas, and received eternal rest on October 11, 2021. Vance was a member of Hat Creek Cowboy Fellowship. He was attending Lone Star High School in Frisco, however, his plans were to return to Winnsboro to graduate and finish where he started with hopes of achieving top 10% of his class. Vance wanted to be a doctor and specialize in treating cancers with cutting edge laser technology or become a teacher. He was in FFA and a probationary Beta Club Member due to his need to express himself at any time. Vance was highly intelligent and won multiple UIL medals. He had a huge heart with an infectious smile and would do anything to make someone laugh when they were having a bad day. He had a faith that most can only hope for and loved his family without condition, especially his Mother, Sister, and Pawpa. Vance loved to twerk and had a tendency to take his shirt off and clear the dance floor. He was the type of young man that could find the best in anyone and loved people, even when they didn't love him back. Vance is survived by his mother, Patricia Krantz; father, Damon Barker; sister, Hannah Barker; great-grandmother, Wilma Perkins; maternal grandparents, Rickey Krantz and Tamela Owen; paternal grandparents, Paula Sebastian and Andre King; aunts, Lisa Sebastian and Tiana Owen; uncles Cory Hass and Kyle Owen; and numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins. A Celebration of Vance's life will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro and people can attend in person or watch service live streamed, followed by a private ceremony for family and close friends at an undisclosed location. Brother Terry Johnson officiating.
