Velma E. Sutton

Mrs. Velma E. Sutton, age 97 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012 at her home. She was born in the Coldwater Community of Wood County on November 21, 1914 to the late Edgar C. and Lilly Mae Jordan Henson. She was a retired dietician at the hospital in Winnsboro, and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph A. Sutton in 1958; three brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Hughes of Winnsboro; son, Joe W. Sutton and wife Delores of Arlington; three grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Essl, Wes Sutton, Cindee Huddy; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton Blu Essl, and Blaine Essl.
