Vera Anne Duval

Vera Anne Duval - Stevens, age 93, died Sunday, June 19, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Saturday, September 22, 1917 in Star, Mississippi to the late John Wesley and Alma Ventrice Morgan. She was a retired nurse, having worked at several area hospitals. She was also retired from the Department of Agriculture where she taught canning and preserving. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Milton Roy Stevens; and a son, Armond Duval.

She is survived by a brother, Marvin Morgan of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; a special friend, Joleene Michaelson of Mineola; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ms. Stevens will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola from 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, June 22, 2011.

Funeral services will be held at First Christian Church in Mineola on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jim Tingle officiating.
