Vera Gertrude Sondrall

Vera G Sondrall, 71 of Quitman, went to be with The Lord Wednesday September 4, 2013. She was born to the late Author T Olsen and Phyllis Clemons Olsen on December 31, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In genuine Proverbs 31 fashion she was not idle. After graduating from High School she worked in a bank, at a law firm, in an upholsters shop, (she loved to sew) and owned her own antique shop. When her husband retired after 22 years in the Navy they moved to Quitman and she worked for Wood County Farm Bureau until her retirement. She was a member of the pilot club, and First United Methodist Church where she loved to help lead the singing at the early service. Golf was another one of her passions, though she started later in life. She was a member of Gilmer Country Club for over twenty years and more recently a member of Sulphur Springs Country Club.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, J. David Sondrall; Daughter Tracy and Son In Law David Jackson; Three Grandchildren: Joshua, Stephen, and Kathryn; Two Great-grandsons: Lawrence and Logan Jackson; Brother-in-laws and their wives: Rollie & Pat Sondrall, Larry & Loretta Sondrall, and Steven & Linda Sondrall. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Gerald Olsen, and a sister Gail Erlandson.
