Vergia Nell Cummins

Mrs. Vergia Nell Cummins, age 93 of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in Sulphur Springs. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Clarksville, Texas to the late Hubert Burgess and Vergia Marie Burgess. Mrs. Cummins worked for Johnson and Johnson for 25 years and was a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cummins in 1977, son James Cummins in 2017, grandson, Briton Young in 2011 and siblings, James Burgess, Mary DeVore, Helen Swing, Neal Burgess, and Neva Bettis. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Young and her husband, Roger, daughter-in-law, Cris Cummins; grandsons, Brandon Young, Jody and Kris Young, Andy and Dorothy Young, Bradley and Julie Cummins; great grandchildren, Devin Young, Ariana Young, Abigail Young, Jeremiah Young, Alejandra Young, Acelynn Young, and Jaxon Young, siblings, Janie Petty, Rose Ann Phillips, and Ricky Burgess and many nieces and nephews.
