Vernon Young

Mr. Vernon Young, age 84, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2006, in Winnsboro. Vernon was born in Clyde, TX., on October 10, 1922 to the late Melvin and Mary Macon Young. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired mail carrier, and a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ. He married the former Frances Merl Coil in Dallas on June 28, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and six sisters. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Frances Merl Young of Winnsboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Robert Watters of Winnsboro, Charlott and Bill Owens of Conroe, Betty and Ed Benningfield of Georgetown; one sister, Letha Reynolds of Searcy, AR; ten grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
