Vickie Jean Martin

Ms. Vickie Friday Martin, age 62 of Scroggins, TX passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Whispering Pines Nursing and Rehab in Winnsboro, TX. Vickie was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 9, 1959 to the late Bob Brock Friday and Emma Jean Friday. In Vickie's early career she was a LVN at Winnwood nursing Home in Winnsboro, later she went to work for Dr. Larry Landers at Winnsboro Chiropractic where she worked for many years before going to work for The City of Winnsboro Public Library. After retiring from the library she became a field editor for Taste of Homes which expanded on her love for cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Jean Friday. Vickie is survived by her brother Tom Friday and wife Julie of Scroggins, TX, son John Harrell and wife Stephanie of Pickton, TX, grandchildren Makayla Harrell, Keeley Glidewell, and Addison Glidewell along with numerous nieces and nephews. Vickie had a love for life, people and her family and lived it to its fullest. Visitation is to be held at Beaty Funeral Home on Sunday June 27, 2021 from 6-8 pm. The service is Monday at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel on Monday June 28, 2021 at 1 pm.
