Virgil Robert Rogers, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026 in the presence of his daughter. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Leslie Rogers and was preceded in death by his wife Tamera, both of his parents, and two brothers.

Virgil was a dedicated member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers for more than 50 years, serving as a business representative for 16 of those years. Among other titles, he was elected Local Lodge 776-A President as well as District Staff. Throughout his long career, he took pride in representing the people and keeping them protected from harassment, unfairness, and unsafe treatment.

Friends and family are invited to join for a viewing at noon on Wednesday, April 15th, at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, TX followed by a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. at Rock Hill Cemetery.

He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
