Virginia Yvonne Harris

Virginia Yvonne Harris, age 77, died Friday, March 15, 2013 in Mineola, Texas. She was born on Saturday, November 2, 1935 in Mineola to the late Lawrence and Mary Jane Sewell. She was a nurse and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mineola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Juluis and Giovanni; and three sisters, Velma Evans, Ruby Giamini and Paula Oliver.

She is survived by her husband, William H. Harris of Mineola; three sons, Dean Shreves of Tyler, Texas, Michael Harris of Mineola and William P. Harris of Mineola; two daughters, Evelyn Davenport of Mineola and Desiree Harris of Tyler; eight grandchildren, Tina Gilbert and husband Travis of Quitman, Kay Cottin and husband Bobby of N. Richland Hills, Texas, Larry Davenport and wife Delisa of Frankston, Texas, Lindsey Harris of Mineola, Gracie Harris of Mineola, Shelia Cash and husband Steven of Mineola, Tonya Baqsy and husband Nick of Richland, Texas and Desiree Harris of Tyler; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.

Visitation for Mrs. Harris will be held at Beaty Funeral Home on Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6 – 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mineola with Rev. Larry Kromer officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Hainesville, Texas.
