Virginia Ruth Hawkins

Mrs. Virginia Ruth Hawkins, age 84 of Winnsboro, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at her home. Virginia was born in Wood County on June 17, 1930 to the late James Grady and Alma Jane Harris Mills. She was retired from K-Mart, and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hurchel Houston Hawkins; son, Mitchell Hawkins; daughter, Jo Ann Studebaker; five brothers, and five sisters. She is survived by two sons, James and Jeffrey Hawkins both of Winnsboro; daughters, Jane Skoruppa and husband Sammy of Corpus Christi, Linda McGuire and husband Don of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Judy Green of Mineola, Pete Cox of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Brandon Studebaker, Christi Maritt, Jada Hawkins; great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Studebaker, Jacob and Joshua Maritt, and Bryce Studebaker. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Sharon Baptist Church, Bro. Fred Morrow officiating. In lieu of flowers: Sharon Baptist Church or Hearts Way Hospice.
