Vivian Marie Thomas, 90, of Mineola, TX died on Thursday, March 27, 2014 in Mineola, TX. She was born on Monday, October 22, 1923 in Quitman, TX to the late John William and Minnie Burford. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church of Mineola, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty four years, Truman; brother, Ernest Burford; sister Lila Mae Gilbreath.

She is survived by his daughter; Brenda Melvin and husband George of Mineola, TX; son, Larry Joe Thomas of Mineola, TX; six grandchildren, Scott Melvin and wife Leah of Mineola, TX, Todd Melvin of Little Elm, TX, Jill Quiambao and husband Ricky of Mineola, TX, Misti Herman and husband Landon of Broken Arrow, OK, Mandi Thomas of Dallas, TX, Merci Osbourn and husband Danny of Mineola, TX; great grandchildren, Emily Melvin, Thomas Melvin, Audri Donwoody, Makena Quiambao, Camden Quiambao, Ella Melvin, Lucas Osbourn.

Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Mineola at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 29, 2014 with Rev. Fred Morrow and Rev. Bobby Tucker officiating. Internment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
