Wanda Nell Cook (Hollon)

Mrs. Wanda Nell Cook passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at the age of 90. She was born on October 9, 1929 to the late Horace Hollon and Hilda Barrier Hollon. Mrs. Cook married Allen Cook on January 21, 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Cook were a vital part of the Winnsboro, Texas community for thirty-five years. During that time, she was an active member of the Winnsboro Standard Club, the Business & Professional Women’s Club, Chamber of Commerce, PTA, a founding member and first president of the Winnsboro Hospital Auxiliary and Winnsboro Church of Christ. She was a member of the Shiloh Rd. Church of Christ in Tyler, TX at the time of her passing. She was predeceased in death by her parents, her husband Allen Cook; her daughters Sandra Turner and Nancy Chandler; her sisters, Phylis Day, Pat Wolf and Elaine Stubbs; and her grandson Justin Turner. She is survived by her children, Judy Mitcham and Tommy Cook (Donni) all of Tyler. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 27th 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX.
