Wilber R Saxon

Mr. Wilber "Junior" R. Saxon, Jr, age 69 of Winnsboro, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at his home. Junior was born on March 24, 1946 in the Little Hope Community to the late Wilber "Wig" Saxon, Sr., and Rosa Lee (Thomas) Saxon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he later retired from Trane in Tyler after 42 years. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon American Legion, and the current commander of the Winnsboro VFW. Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Charlotte Hack and nephew, Velton Dean Bradshaw. He is survived by four brothers, Glen Saxon and wife Carolyn of Quitman, Kenny Saxon of Hawkins, George Saxon and wife Jeane of Mt. Vernon, Hershall Saxon of Gilmer; one sister, Shirley Smith and husband Roger of Quitman; numerous nieces and nephews, and friends.
