William Frank Allen

January 28, 1942 — February 3, 2023

A Celebration of Life for Mr. William Frank "Bill" Allen, 81, of Mineola will be at 11 a.m., Feb. 7, at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola, with the Rev. Donna Malone Hunt officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.


Bill went to be with his Lord on Friday, Feb. 3. He was born Jan. 28, 1942, in Smith County, Texas to the late Thomas Alfred Allen and Veda Lee Null Allen.


Bill was a 1960 graduate of Mineola High School and later earned a BA in Commercial Art from North Texas State University. He had a career in advertising in the Dallas area for many years before moving back home to Mineola. He retired from Tyler Pipe. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Mineola. Bill was also a longtime member of the Mineola Country Club where he was an avid golfer and volunteered many hours cooking, tending to the course, pro shop, and served on the Board of Directors. He not only enjoyed golfing, but cooking, dancing, spending time with family, friends, and his grand pups. Bill was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan from the beginning. He was so loved by many.


He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Troy A. Allen, and sister, Tommie Jo Campbell.


Survivors include his loving wife, his sweetheart since the 8th grade, Linda Malone Allen of Mineola; daughter, the apple of his eye, Erin Allen Wright and her husband, Tracy "Oopy" Wright of Mineola; sister, Sue Reaver of Ft. Worth; brother-in-law Preston Campbell of Austin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Harold and Jacquelyn “Sissie” Malone Phillips of Mineola; sister-in-law Dorothy Patrick Malone of Monahans; sister-in-law Cecile Bronsell Malone of Mineola; and many nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be his nephews Mike Allen of Lindale, Mike Mounce of Ft. Worth, Danny Campbell of Dallas, Michael Malone of Garland, John Phillips, and Paul Ray, both of Mineola.
